CUPID WITH A TAMBOURINE
Inspired by a fresco with a dancing cupid dating back to 54 – 68 a.D. discovered in the “Villa di San Marco” at Stabiae. This piece is preserved in the Antiquarium in
Castellammare di Stabia (Naples).

OSCILLUM WITH A CUPID
The oscilla were decorative elements and brought good luck. They were hung on trees outside the house to dangle in the wind. The elegant shape of the one reproduced by Ithaca finds its inspiration in the “peltae”, the small shields used in the Roman Army.
